Data Product Owner/Lead - 6 months contract - Remote - Pharma

We are seeking an experienced Data Product Owner/Lead to oversee and manage the cloning of finance database using Snowflake. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the cloning process adheres to all requirements, meets deadlines, and allows for continuous improvements. You will work closely with a 3rd party vendor conducting the cloning and take ownership of data governance processes, data quality rules, and the review of technical solutions. Additionally, you will define an operating model to support future finance evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Finance Database Cloning Project: Ensure the 3rd party vendor's cloning process aligns with business requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact between the 3rd party vendor, internal finance teams, and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and expectation management.
• Review and Approve Designs: Evaluate design and technical solutions proposed by the vendor, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational objectives.
• Suggest Improvements: Provide actionable insights and recommendations for improving the cloning process and related workflows.
• Issue Resolution: Support the resolution of any technical or process-related issues during the cloning process.
• Define Data Governance Processes: Establish and implement data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance.
• Data Quality Rules: Develop and enforce data quality rules that ensure the integrity and accuracy of the cloned data.
• Develop Operating Model: Define and document a future-state operating model to manage and evolve the finance database in line with future needs.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience as a Data Product Lead or Product Owner, preferably in finance-related projects.
• Financial KPIs: Strong understanding of financial KPIs and finance data management, though deep expertise is not mandatory. Experience managing a finance database cloning project is highly preferred.
• Consulting Background: A management consulting profile with experience in financial services or technology consulting is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Snowflake for data warehousing and management.
• Experience with Informatica for data integration and governance.
• Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to handle complex projects, meet deadlines, and manage cross-functional teams.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
